
Welcome to New Hope Village, Inc. We are a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and serving those in need. Established in 1999 as Barstow's only transitional living program, we have since grown to include the Hope Hut Thrift Store and the H.O.P.E. (Helping Other People Eat) Citywide Food Distribution. About Us
New Hope Village, Inc. opened in 1999 and became a 501c3 in 2001. We provide safe, affordable housing for motivated individuals and families in need, including those who are homeless, to gain self-sufficiency. Our program teaches responsibility, integrity, budgeting, life skills, time management, and community service.
Who Qualifies?
- No current use of illegal drugs or alcohol
- Permission to verify all information
- 18 years or older, legal/permanent resident
- Homeless (on the street, in a shelter, being evicted)
- Motivated to become self-sufficient and productive
- Willing to participate in educational/life skills program
- Hardworking, determined, and dedicated to a better lifestyle
- Willing to participate in community and fundraising events
Homeless Housing Assistance and Prevention
- With the Homeless Housing Assistance and Prevention (HHAP) funding New Hope Village will engage unsheltered families and individuals and assess them via the local Coordinated Entry System (CES) or 211: and connect participants with emergency shelter (closest is Victorville, Ca.) housing, and/or other critical services.
